❙ Information about poster design/setup
-
The maximum poster dimensions are 48” width x 36” height (approx. 120 cm width x 90 cm height). Please ensure these dimensions are not exceeded.
-
Material to affix your poster to the display boards will be provided by the conference.
-
Limit the amount of printed material. Posters should be concise. If additional information is desired, consider handing out information sheets or providing a QR code that links to a relevant website.
-
Please review the guidelines for creating accessible designs provided by the Department of Medical Communications.
-
Each poster must include a top label indicating the title, the names of the authors, and their affiliations. The title should have characters that are at least 0.8” (2 cm) high.
-
Ensure poster text is large enough to be read from a distance of 3’ (1 meter) or more. A font size of 30-50 is recommended.
-
Keep illustrative material simple. Use charts, drawings, and illustrations similar to those in slides. Simple color use is effective for emphasis.
-
Include straightforward "Introduction" and "Conclusion" sections. Use graphs to demonstrate qualitative relationships and tables for precise numerical values when feasible.
-
Do not fold posters; carry them in an appropriate container to avoid damage.
-
Conference staff will be available to assist you.
-
Poster numbers will be provided by staff and displayed on your poster board.
